Resident Handbook, page 4.
Direct supervision housing provides residents with positive living conditions. This allows more freedom of movement and reflects the residents' ability to comply with facility rules and regulations. Each housing unit contains (32) single bunk cells and (16) double bunk cells arranged around a central dayroom area. Residents have access to phones, televisions and a leisure reading library within the housing unit. All cells contain porcelain toilet fixtures, a desk and chair. Residents, who are assigned to a double bunk cell, will be held accountable for rule violations that occur within the cell, unless it is determined that they were not involved. Residents are responsible for checking their cell upon assignment for any graffiti, drawn pictures, or writing on the walls, desk, or bunks. Any found should be reported to staff immediately. There are no bars or steel security style doors in the housing units. Access to the recreation area will rotate between the two housing units that share this area. Direct supervision rewards positive behavior.
