Emergency fire drills are held to ensure safe evacuation of everyone in the event of an actual emergency and/or fire. In order to ensure your safety and maintain security, you are expected to follow all instructions given by staff. In the event of an emergency situation taking place within your assigned housing unit, you are to return to your cell. If your cell door is not open, stand at the door and remain facing the door until it is unlocked. Once your cell door is unlocked, step in and secure the door behind you. Have a seat on your bed and remain seated and out of cell windows. Staff will notify you when the emergency has been cleared and normal activities may resume within the unit.
