Resident Handbook, page 10.
You will be provided with three (3) nutritious meals daily. Each housing unit provides chairs and tables to allow you to eat in the dayroom. If you are housed in the Infirmary, on lockdown status, and/or housed in the Special Management units located on the 8th floor or if your Housing Unit is not staffed with the amount of necessary Officers, you will be required to eat in your cell. When the meal cart arrives at your housing unit, the Housing Unit Officer will require you to lock down. The Housing Unit Officer will direct half of your housing unit line up to receive a tray and beverage. After receiving your tray and drink, you will proceed to a table and begin your meal. Only the issued brown cups will be allowed for drinks during a meal; white tumbler cups purchased from commissary are not allowed at meals. Residents must remain seated during the meal. Residents are not allowed to pass or share food during meals. Mealtime is not to be used to socialize. If you choose not to receive a meal tray, you will be ordered to return to your cell and will be locked down for the duration of the meal. You will have twenty (20) minutes to finish your meal. After the meal has been completed, and the food trays and utensils collected, you will be required to lock down. The second half of the housing unit will then be fed. After both groups have been fed, you will be permitted to return to normal activities.
