Resident Handbook, page 58.
Your property is being safely held for you in the facility property room. It will be returned to you upon your release. At any time during your incarceration, you may make a request through your Case Manager to release your personal property to an outside party. When releasing personal property, all your personal items must be released. This does not include money or clothing. Residents with charges that could result in their being sentenced to the Missouri Department of Corrections and residents being held for Federal Authorities should read the following instructions: You should make every effort to have your property picked up by friends or family members. When you leave this institution, your property will not be transported with you. Your property will be held for a maximum period of seven (7) days and then the property will be donated to a charitable organization. You are encouraged to contact your caseworker and make the arrangements necessary to have your belongings picked up.
